ACRC established ‘Business Grievance Resolution Team’ to strengthen expertise for resolving business difficulties and corruption

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC, Chairperson Pak Un Jong) created a business difficulties resolution team in order to address business grievances on site and rationalize irrational institutions while detecting and redressing corrupt acts arising from such irrational institutions.

With a view to resolving business grievances, the ACRC has already convened an on-site business grievance meeting eight times up to this month since the launch of the new administration in May and received a total of approximately 140 cases of complaints from businesses through such meetings.

Not only will the ACRC further strengthen expertise for resolving grievances of businesses by setting up the ‘Business Grievance Resolution Team’, but it will also push for comprehensive measures to boost job creation by exposing and rectifying any covertly committed corrupt acts causing business grievances.

Moreover, opinions of the people received via the People’s Idea Box (http://www.idea.epeople.go.kr), which is the online communication platform through which anyone can freely make their voices heard, will be actively reflected into the government’s policies.

The ACRC expects to be able to more effectively resolve people’s grievances related to employment and actively respond to business-related corruption by linking the functions of complaints handling, institutional improvement and corruption prevention based on the public opinions.
